By Car

Bristol is easily accessible from the M5 and M4 motorways. From the M4, exit at Junction 19 (signposted to Bristol) and follow the M32 into the city centre. From the M5, exit at junction 18 and follow the A4 Portway (signpost Bristol Airport) into the city centre.

By Air

Bristol International Airport is situated just 8 miles south of central Briatol and is easily accessed via the A38. Direct flights operate to bristol from across the UK, Europe and North America.

Bristol International Flyer express coach service offers a convenient way to get to the airport, with regular coaches running from bristol city centre bus and train stations to the airport throughout the day. The journey takes around 30 minutes and tickets are available form the driver.

Rail

Bristol Temple Meads is the main railway station, situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the city centre. the 8 and ( bus services run frequently between Bristol Temple Meads Station and the city centre, Broadmead and Cabot Circus.Regular trains operate between Bristol Temple Maeds and stations between London Paddington, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Penzance.

Bristol Parkway station is situatued to the north of the city and can be accesseds via bus service no. 73 which runs regularly between Bristol Parkway and the city centre.

Regional Railways

Regional railways operate modern air-conditioned trains direct to Bristol from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Torbay and Portsmouth.

  • Cross Country Trains: for routes from Aberdeen to Penzance, and from Stansted to Bristol, along with the Bristol-Birmingham-Nottingham, and Birmingham-Leicester-Stansted services previously operated by Central Trains.

By Bus/Coach

Bristol Bus station is situated on Marlborough Street, near Broadmead shopping centre. National Express coach services operate from the bus station to cities across the UK, including direct bus services to London Heathrow (approximately 2 hours) and Gatwick airport (approximately 31/2 hours)

London Flyer coaches run between Bristol and London, and Megabus operates from Bristol and Cwmbran.
